The 5th round of the ProKart Challenge North event went into the books this past weekend. SwedeTech Racing Engines captured 4 wins out of 8 classes.
In the S3 class, Steve Reasoner qualified off pole. In the main event he put on a great drive, starting last to finish 3rd. At the scales, he would come up 1 pound too light. Finishing in 4th was SwedeTech Racing Engines very own Jason Berry; he drove a consistent race finishing in the top 5 in the heats. S3 was combined with S4. Alex Keith raced in the mid pack with the S3’s. He finished 2nd in the main event.
In S1, SwedeTech power made up the podium and more. Winning the entire race, qualifying on pole, winning the heats and capturing the main event win was Alex Speed powered by his SwedeTech Maxter. Taking home the 2nd spot also powered by a SwedeTech Maxter was Jess Peterson. Finishing out the podium was Derek Tillett in 3rd. Cody Hodgson put in a good drive finishing 4th. G1 was combined with the S1. In G1, Ethan Wilson won his first main event of the year in the G1 class powered by his SwedeTech TM.
In the Tag Master class, Jim Zootis put on a great effort this weekend by qualifying on pole, staying within the top 3 in the heats and finishing 2nd in the main. In HPV-2, Kiel Spaulding stayed consistent finishing within the top 3 all race long, but in the main event he drove to the win. Donavon Wheeler finished 2nd. Another driver staying consistent was Kelsey Nilsson, she stayed within the top 3 in qualifying, and the heats, and finishing 3rd in the main event. Dylan Lupton would put in a great effort having struggled a little bit in the heats finishing 6th and 8th, he finished 4th in the main.
In Tag Senior, It seemed to play out that Will Martindale was the man to beat. He qualified 3rd, and won both the heats, also capturing the main event win all powered by his SwedeTech Parilla. Alex Speed stayed right there within the top 3 all race, he finished 2nd in the main.

Hi Jason, Â
Justin finished 2nd overall on the F80 LTD class in Portland last week. We lead the first half of the race only to lose by .333 seconds at the end of the 30 minute race. We set fast lap and were a little faster than the Hegar Team driver, but, they did not show Justin the white flag for last lap and we were drafting in 2nd place waiting for the last lap……so, bad timing and luck cost us the race. Live and learn I guess. We had the fastest 80 on the track and Justin drove it very well… Â
Thanks! Â
Jim Â
